The peak of the Lattari Mountains,
1444 metres above the sea

Departure from Monte Faito, where the climb begins towards Croce della Conocchia (1,316 m) along a fairly steep and very scenic route. Once at the top, you can easily reach Monte S. Michele (1,444 m), from which you enjoy a 360-degree view spanning the Sorrento Peninsula and the island of Capri, the gulfs of Salerno and Naples, Vesuvius and the Campanian hinterland.

The descent is made on the opposite side facing north (which can sometimes have considerable temperature variations), passing a natural water spring before returning to the starting point.

Difficulty level: moderate-high (approx. 3 hours of walking; advantage of starting at already 900/1,000 m a.s.l.). Particularly suited to fully appreciating the view that can only be enjoyed from peaks exceeding one thousand metres in height: a unique experience!

Expert variant: Alternatively, it is also possible to start from Montepertuso and climb through Castagnole to the Caserma Forestale (763 m), from where the steep ascent leads to Croce della Conocchia (1,316 m) and Monte S. Michele (1,444 m), then descend with the option of turning towards S. Maria al Castello (659 m) from where you can reach Positano via the Tese descent. Duration: 6/7 hours. Difficulty: High.

Frequently asked questions

Sant'Angelo a 3 Pizzi requires good physical fitness: +900 m of elevation gain over 4–5 hours. No mountaineering experience is needed, but a habit of long mountain walks is recommended. If in doubt, contact us for a personalised assessment.
High-ankle hiking boots, at least 2 litres of water, energy food for the day, layered clothing (it can be cold and windy at the summit), a windproof jacket, trekking poles recommended. Maurizio carries a first-aid kit.
Not recommended for children under 14. The elevation gain and duration require trained legs and focus on exposed sections. For families with younger children, we recommend Valle delle Ferriere or Punta Campanella.
Yes, there are some natural springs along the trail. It is always advisable to bring at least 2 litres from home, especially in summer.
At high altitude, weather conditions change rapidly. The tour is cancelled in case of thunderstorms, thick fog or strong wind. You will be contacted the evening before with the final weather assessment. Safety always comes first.
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before. Within 48 hours a 50% fee applies. If we cancel due to weather conditions, full refund or alternative date at no extra cost.
